KNS2020

Welcome Message

HOME About Congress

Dear Senior members, colleagues and friends!

It is with great honor and sincere pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all participants of the 65th Annual Meeting of the Korean Neurosurgical Society (KNS). We are particularly grateful to our distinguished international guests who have traveled great distances to join us, and to our esteemed colleagues from across the nation whose commitment continues to strengthen the foundation of our Society.

This year, we are privileged to host renowned neurosurgeons from the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Italy. Their presence offers a rare and invaluable opportunity for academic exchange, allowing us to share pioneering research, innovative surgical techniques, and diverse clinical perspectives. Such interactions will undoubtedly enrich our scientific program and further deepen our collaborative ties across continents.

Our theme, “Beyond Conflicts, Toward Coexistence and Innovation,” serves as both a reflection and a call to action. In an era defined by rapid technological advances, evolving healthcare systems, and diverse professional perspectives, our field inevitably encounters challenges and differences. Yet it is precisely through constructive engagement, mutual respect, and a shared vision that we can transcend divisions and foster true coexistence.

Coexistence, in this context, represents more than the resolution of disagreements; it embodies a spirit of inclusivity, empathy, and collaborative purpose. From such a foundation, meaningful innovation emerges—driven by the convergence of diverse ideas, expertise, and cultural backgrounds. This meeting stands as a vital platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research, the dissemination of advanced surgical techniques, and the cultivation of professional relationships that extend beyond geographical boundaries.

I trust that the scientific sessions, plenary lectures, and interactive discussions throughout this conference will inspire fresh insights, deepen our professional bonds, and contribute to the continued advancement of neurosurgical science and patient care.
On behalf of the Korean Neurosurgical Society, I thank you once again for your participation and dedication. May this meeting be both intellectually enriching and personally rewarding, and may it serve as a lasting testament to our collective journey beyond conflicts, toward coexistence and innovation.
